Documents to Gather

Below is a list of the most common documents we need to prepare your business taxes.

Copy of previous year’s tax return

If we prepared your return last year, then we will already have a copy.  If this is your first year filing, then don’t worry about this.

Incorporation Documents

This would include your SS-4 which has your EIN as well as your other Incorporation documents showing your business name, address, owners, etc.

Record of business income and expenses

This is likely to be your business P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow statement.

Record of interest and/or dividends

This is likely to be a Form 1099 from a US financial institution or interest statements from any financial institution where the corporation has an account.

Record of Ownership

This would be the names, addresses, and percentage of ownership for any non-US owners of the corporation (include both individual and corporate owner).
